Field measurements are recorded at the well head during a 72-hour aquifer pump test. An in-line totalizer meter measures gallons of water discharged and an electronic water level meter is used to measure the depth to groundwater in the pumping well. Downwell submersible pumps are typically powered by a mobile generator.
