New Office Locations

Analytical Services, Inc. (AS) is pleased to announce the opening of our branch office in Culpeper, Virginia. Our new office, which is located within the Culpeper Business Centre, expands our ability to provide efficient, personalized environmental consulting and engineering services to our clients within central and northern Virginia, as well as the greater DC Metropolitan area. Our office is headed by Michael L. Maloy, CPG who has over twelve years of consulting experience in the Culpeper area. Our centralized location lies within 1½ hours or less of the following localities: Leesburg, Fairfax, Winchester, Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, Richmond, Fredericksburg, Staunton and Wintergreen.

In order to accommodate significant growth in the past several years, AS has moved it’s office headquarters into new office space in the Snowden Professional Center in Columbia, Maryland. This space, conveniently located halfway between Baltimore and Washington, DC at 8600 Snowden River Parkway, replaces our previous headquarters location in Jessup, Maryland.

Albemarle County Adopts Groundwater Assessment Standards

AS recently completed the first Tier IV Groundwater Assessment performed in Albemarle County, which was quickly approved by both the County Groundwater Manager and the Virginia Health Department Office of Water Programs. AS's Senior Geologist, Michael Maloy, CPG was the program manager for the final phase of the Albemarle County Hydrogeologic Assessment project. The project's workscope included the development of draft groundwater assessment standards for the County's consideration. Groundwater assessment standards were adopted by the County of Albemarle in February of 2005 and can be found at the following web link:

AS can facilitate the entire Tier IV process including siting potential high-yield well targets, well drilling, aquifer testing, and report preparation necessary for the development of a community water supply. We also specialize in Tier III assessment services for individual supply wells.

Hydrogeologist Joins AS

AS is pleased to announce the addition of Mark Harper to our staff in the Culpeper, Virginia office. Mark will assume the position of hydrogeologist and project manager for AS. Mark has extensive hydrogeologic assessment experience within Virginia’s Piedmont region and will be responsible for both managing and providing field oversight of hydrogeologic investigations including both well installations and aquifer testing. Mark received his M.S., in Environmental Geology from the University of Akron, and his B.A. from the College of Wooster.
